The following method is one possible method of securing an AquaFlex, applications may vary. The product is to be installed in accordance with NFPA standards 13, 13R, and 13D. Consult your local codes and requirements before installing by a certified professional installer.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect the reducer to the AquaFLex and tighten the nut (not the reducer) to insure the leak-proof connection.

2. Disconnect the nipple from AquaFlex, connect the nipple to main pipe with normal sealing procedures and tighten to insure a leakproof connection. Check that the gasket is properly in place and reconnect the AquaFlex to the nipple by tightening the nut.

3. Position two matching end brackets opposite each other on ceiling grid. Securely tighten single sidescrew on each end bracket. Set bar stock onto top portion of bracket. Swing the hinged wire bracket over the bar stock and snap into place. Use a screwdriver for leverage if necessary. Securely tighten the top-screw on each bracket to prevent movement or vibration.

4. Bend the AquaFlex by hand to desired location in relation to mounting bracket assembly and center-of-tile. Slip center bracket horizontally over bar stock. Position the reducer nipple of the AquaFlex into center bracket, adjusting height to accommodate type of sprinkler head (semi-recessed, flush or concealed). Securely tighten the side screw on the middle bracket.
